I'm Nathan, and I'm building Anvil, a private AI assistant that runs on your iPhone. Chat runs Gemma 4 E2B right on the phone through LiteRT LM, so your conversations stay on your device. Anvil Dream, a download inside the app, makes 1024x1024 images on device with an SDXL Lightning variant in Core ML on the Neural Engine. The chat model and the image model are never loaded at the same time.

Anvil handles chat, voice, notes, tasks, photos and documents, and it reads and translates signs offline, which is great when you travel. No account is needed. Anvil Core downloads once over WiFi. Web search and iCloud backup are there if you want them, and both are optional.

Anvil is in a free public beta on TestFlight, and every TestFlight tester gets Anvil Pro free. It needs an iPhone 15 Pro or newer. I read every piece of feedback myself.
